Ravynn Nothstine was born and raised in Anchorage, Alaska. She spent her childhood visiting family in Nome and the Native Village of Wales, which led her to cultivate a strong sense of responsibility to ensure environmental protections and sustainable development in rural areas. She graduated from Dartmouth College in 2017 with a B.A. in Earth Sciences. She feels the importance of understanding the history of a landscape (inclusive of earth history and human history) is vital in determining and implementing effective policies that will benefit the environment and the people.

She has experience working in non-profits, Native corporations, environmental remediation companies, the Alaska State Legislature, and the United States Senate. Ravynn is passionate about her work at K&A and the Arctic Encounter, specifically efforts regarding the future health and sustainability of Alaska’s communities and Arctic youth leadership.
