Ravynn Nothstine was born and raised in Anchorage, Alaska. She spent her childhood visiting family in Nome and the Native Village of Wales, which led her to cultivate a strong sense of responsibility to ensure environmental protections and sustainable development in rural areas. She graduated from Dartmouth College in 2017 with a B.A. in Earth Sciences. She feels the importance of understanding the history of a landscape (inclusive of earth history and human history) is vital in determining and implementing effective policies that will benefit the environment and the people.

She has experience working in non-profits, Native corporations, environmental remediation companies, the Alaska State Legislature, and the United States Senate. Ravynn is passionate about the mission of the Arctic Encounter, specifically ideas regarding the future of the Arctic and Arctic youth.
